'Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand'

Psalm 149:6

If we are going to be a church that is breaking through with the sword of the spirit, we need the high praises of God in our mouths. Dynamic, practically active, spiritual warfare and worship are utterly inseparable. At Ichthus we believe that our worship fuels all the work that we do; as we lift up the name of Jesus with high praises it is like thrusting that two-edged sword into the darkness, releasing the presence of God into the earth and seeing people's hearts turning to Him.

We want the energy and depth of the worship in our central celebrations to spread through the congregations all over London and our link churches around the country. So this year at Ichthus we are really focussing on training.

Chris and Jennie Orange

Chris and Jennie Orange are the worship pastors for Ichthus Christian Fellowship. They oversee worship within the movement as well as serve on the leadership team for the Ichthus congregation in Forest Hill, South London. Chris and Jennie have a website (aloudervoice.com) where they provide free worship resources including CDs, teaching and sheet music for worship teams. They travel with their band to many places across the UK and internationally to lead worship, and resource worship teams with training. They passionately believe in worship that reaches the poor and are advocates for the charity For Life, Thailand.
