Impact London with Jesus' love.

The Summer Project is an intensive training course, offering a challenging teaching programme together with practical experience of evangelism in London. It's seven (and a bit) days packed full of outreach, worship, ministry and teaching, with sessions from Ichthus leaders, including Roger and Faith Forster, and special guests. Deepen your understanding of the theology of mission in the context of a lively church and gain practical experience as faith is translated into action.

Teaching in the morning

Get more deeply rooted in the word of God. Every weekday morning is made up of three teaching sessions, covering everything from deep (but accessible) theology to practical workshops. There are times of worship and prayer, and opportunities to get refreshed by the Holy Spirit. Have a look at the sample week below for the kind of subjects we get stuck into.

Outreach after lunch

After lunch we head off to share the gospel. In teams based at Ichthus congregations around London, we run  a whole range of evangelistic activities. Experience different forms of evangelism at open airs, sport sessions and community barbecues, as the week builds towards a big Saturday outreach event. Try new things and use your existing talents, all the time supported by friendly team leaders.

Former Project students

'If you are interested in taking another step further with God and His plan for your life, I would really recommend the Summer Project. It’s a time of full-time work for God’s kingdom.'
Leif-Martin

'I used to be really nervous about evangelism until I did the Summer Project – the leaders made it so easy for me to grow in confidence in sharing my faith.'
Rachel

'I really enjoyed the teaching on the Project – it was in-depth but practical as well. It’s great getting good theology, but we were also taught how to apply it. I was able to practise spiritual giftings too, and test them in a supportive environment where I was being encouraged to step out in faith.'
Katy

'The opportunity to work with such inspirational Christians, especially the team leaders, really helped me to see the direction that I wanted my faith to move in. This was also helped by being prayed for to recieve the gift of tongues for the first time, which I did, and it motivated me to seek to grow more in other spiritual gifts.'
Mark

'For me, one of the most important parts of the Project was meeting other people who loved Jesus with everything they had. I’d never really met many people like that before. My team leaders encouraged me to do so much more than I thought was possible for me to do. I think Summer Project opened my eyes more to how Jesus would do things and helped me to look outside of my own preconceived ideas of evangelism.'
